As far as screwdrivers- I THINK the brand is Klein?... Its what most electricians use and they are great. Most electrical supply houses will carry them.

Forgot about them. I do have some Klein pliers. I had one of their screwdrivers but the handle is brittle (under the rubber grip) and I chipped out a chunk right after I bought it. Dunno where to take it for a return without a receipt like you can with Craftsman stuff.

2 years go I bought my son (hes 10 now) a small craftsman box. Now every year at Christmas I buy him some hand tools to keep in his box. That way he'll be set by the time hes 18. And by that time you wont be able to buy any tools made in the US.

I like the Whitting Screwdrivers with teh dog fir handles. These fuckers hold screws and don't strip. Great screw drivers IF you don't mind dropping the coin.

Craftsmand hand tools used to be made by a company call Easco out in delaware years ago. they shut down in the late 90's IIRC and moved all hand tool production to china or some other sweatshop labor camp communist goverment run country.

hmmmmm. Ill have to check them out.

MATCO sells them at a somewhat rediculous markup but they do warranty them which takes the bite out of the price.

Trust me on the sears stuff. If they catch wind you are a professional mechanic using home owner tools. they will revoke you warranty privilages. I used to take in garabage bags full of broken sockets and shit. they refused to warranty stuff after a while. That was before I started wrenching full time.
