Took the Z06 to the drag strip..*Video*

Sup fellas. About 2 weeks ago, I took my stock Z06 to the track one more time. Since I broke a half-shaft last time (on my 2nd run), and because I HATE drag racing, I only ran the car one time.

I also raced an Evo that ran a 10.9@128 from a 40 roll. I beat it by about 1-1.5 cars when we shut down at about 140. I did not think I was going to win this race..:dontknow:

btw, my trap speed is a little hard to tell on camera, but it was 124.53. Best trap speed to date after running the car a total of 5 times is 126 mph.

The stock runflats.

I think if I quit shifting into 3rd gear like a girl, and manage the throttle a little better on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts to minimize wheel spin, I can get this car to an 11.39-11.45 in stock form on the stock tires.
 
Holy hell! 11.56 stock! That's crazy man. I got to drive a C5 ZO6 this summer at work. Had headers, mid pipe, Cat back, CAI, and a programmer. Was fucking fast but still was slower then your car. That thing probably ran like a 11.9 or something

And then I will be picking up half-shafts peice by piece.

I do think that with a set of slicks and skinnies up front, and given that the half shafts stay together, that this car can hit a 10.9.

Get me a set of slicks that will fit over the rear breaks, and lets go out before the end of the season so I can see if I can run a 10 sec pass..:icon_mrgr
