doesnt have to be fast for the junk irs to break. You must notta figured that out yet.. My junk 10bolt broke in my slow ass trans am..when it was damn near stock. As i stated b4..i dont give a shit WHAT car irs is in...its junk!

O contrare, i think IRS in the 2005 Corvettes does well, i'm not sure if its the same in the cobras, but our 2005 Vette left hard on slicks and never broke.

Cant be the same as the cobra. Then again..whats the same in ANY car thats the same in a vette? Ever done a clutch in a vette? Holly fucking nightmare! Its just something jay gets all worked up about..its funny. lol Then again..i dont ever recall talking about going not being able to go fast with an irs....i stated my opinion that the design is junk...like many others agree. Jay just gets all personal like he designed it or something lol.

I just enjoy making a quicky post in jays threads. He hasnt gotten his panties outta bunch since the last time he was crying over the irs. :thumbsup: So it gives me a good laugh here and there. Then the fact he owns a pontiac with a "touched by god motor" car...

Lol, I know..just saying, the auto vettes i think work great, i mean don't get me wrong eventually they will break but you know. Yeah, it still hasn't set in Jay is into the GM stuff.

agreed. Just like the junk f-body 10bolt..things are better as paper weights.I have no problem saying that though. Mention something where Ford cut a corner on the cobra to jay..and oh god look out! :baby: :cry: :leghump: :thefinger Jay..into GM stuff?? Noooo..hell frozen over?

oh no.....i'd tell lid to be easy on that 1-2shift. ur ganna find urself with a broken ass tranny.....other wise lookin good....

So did you tune all of the TQ management out of the 1-2 shift or did you add a shift kit? That thing really does rip 2nd pretty hard.

we still utilize torque reduction during all the shifts even at WOT... not a shift kit just tuning.

Lid's got a pretty good grasp on transmission tuning.. i'm not at all worried about breaking the trans... plus the new six speed auto that gm and ford co-developed is a b.a.m.f!!
