Tires?

Anybody have any recommendations, suggestions, an uncle in the tire business? Finally going to put a decent set of tires on the Landcruiser. Closer to Ann Arbor = better

I was pricing tires from a bunch of shops for my Raptor and Belle Tire had the best deal and rebates..
A no name shop came In second and Tire Rack was 3rd..
 
Check Costco. They’re always running special deals on Michelin’s. Last year they beat out both Belle and discount tire. I felt comfortable taking my vette there. No issues with install. Shop guys were cool to deal with.

The problem with Costco is tire selection and they will only do the tire size listed on the sticker in the door jamb.

Yea I know they have that disclaimer. But Not in my case. I have 18”s all around

Before I ordered them online, I talked to the manager and he said no problem on doing the install.

Depends on the store location I guess. I went to the one on hall rd in Shelby twp
 
Maybe he didn’t like your yellow car

Crazy a Mom and Pop shop might have a higher price, maybe they would treat your Corvette nicer??

I have had similar situations with USA.

This past summer they gave me the best pricing on 4 tires for my Travel Trailer. At that time while I was there getting the trailer tires swapped I had him price me out on some M/T Drag Radials. Price was good on those at that time as well but I was not ready.

Just this month I called them again on those DR's and not so good. I ended up price matching what Jeg's had going but with Belle Tire.

Tire shops can be WIERD. My local belle tire wanted $180 to mount/balance 2 tires that I supplied onto my rims that I supplied. He said..."yeah that's the price in the computer". I walked out.

Yea that’s it. Lol. I don’t know what his markup is or cost, but at least be in the ballpark. maybe he has better pricing on other brands and sizes. I don’t know. But on the Michelin SuperSports unfortunately he was not.
 
I gave them a shot but I went with best local pricing and actually much closer to my house.

So riddle me this. Will you shop around or will you just go with what ever price USA quotes you (Even if USA is higher then the places closer to your new house? SCS's is almost 30min from USA now)?

I work near USA, he always gives me good prices, I guess you don’t know me, To answer your riddle, I dont just take his price I compare to amazon or others etc
