Timing on Chevy 350?

I want to make sure the timing on the Jeep is good. It seems to be lacking low end power.
I have been told it is a 350 with a mild cam and edelbrock intake and carb.
I don't know much more about the internals.

should be fine if you set base timing to ~10*, total should be 32-36*

It has been awhile so..
Just disconnect the vacuum advance and set at ten? I don't know anything about messing with the vacuum. I guess it could also need carb adjustments.
It has been almost 10 years since owning a vehicle with a carb.

yeah, disconnect the vac advance, and set it to 10*, if the RPM goes up as you adjust, lower it back down to where you want the idle set to
