Just got back from Vegas and bought one there. Talked to a lot of people, they either love them or hate them. Anyone have comments?

I am 21...so no experience with this. Where did you buy one for? I hardly even know how they work.

Vegas seems like a cool place to have one. I can't imagine ever getting sick of going there. Where is it located?

It is a bad idea, you can vacation cheaper other ways. That said I bought one last time in Vegas :icon_eek: My wife talked me into it, if you use it to your full advantange you can do OK but not better than OK.

Where did you buy?

We bought at the Grandview week 10 (NASCAR Week) we're also in RCI Points.

Anyone what to take a Vacation let me know I can get weeks cheap through RCI as long as you can book with in 45 days and don't care were you go.

A paralegal just bought one in Cozemal(sp) Mexico.

$6000.00 for 1 week for the next 100 years. Plus cleaning fees maintenance etc... I think the price of airfare would be expensive though.

My boss has one on Marco Island Florida for 2 weeks in February. He absolutely loves it. Airfare is relatively inexpensive (before the spring break price hike on airfare

I had a client that had an issue with his timeshare, I straightened it out for him and the time share management people were pleasant to work with.

I think your right, people either love them or hate them. I know of a few folks that have done them and within 5 years they either get out of the arrangment or buy property in said location.

Interesting. What is RCI?

When the wifey and i went to Vegas, we went to a seminar where they were selling timeshares. Actually, we went for the free show tickets and didnt buy shit.

Bought the same one, week 29. I wanted the NASCAR week, but they were charging a premium for that one. I don't care if I ever go back to use it, they gave me 3 weeks a year though, one at Grandview (tradeable) and 2 other trade weeks. I was goiong to take the show tickets and run, but I figured that since we rarely go on vacation, this might make me smell the roses a bit more. With a family of four, a junket like Disney costs me about 5 grand and this would effectively cut that in half, making it more feasible....

The wife and I have been disscussing buying a time share in vegas. We rented one earlier this year at the Polo towers. I would never buy one from the agency, so much money can be saved buying on ebay. I've been looking at 1 bedroom Suites and with fees and purchase I don't expect to spend more than $1500 to get a deeded timeshare.

After that, what would it cost yearly and how close to the strip is it?

Has anyone seen these timeshare clubs? They seem like a good deal - at least the part about being able to trade and go anywhere.
