Time to quiet it down and need some suggestions

I had to change out the race mufflers for these stainless oil cans to quiet it down some and wanted to run the 3" tail pipes while I was at it. The pipes are connected with releasable connections to the mufflers so I can take the pipes off when I want to. There was no room to go over the axle due to the anti-rollbar and bracing, so I went under. There is plenty of room for the chassis to squat. So my question is this. How should I end the tailpipes? Tip them down after the rear tire so just a smidge of the pipe is visable, or run them back closer to the bumper and turn them down? I know Flowmaster makes the 3" tailpipes, but I wanted to set it apart from the crowd a little. Any suggestions?003.JPG

I like to tuck them up under the bumper & baloney cut the turn down ends so they can't really be seen, it's personal preference though, I don't like seeing exhaust pipes.

4" rolled tips straight out the back..

I hide my exhaust exits also but there is no hiding with a foxbody...

I think I'll have them shot in the high temp silver and if the tips look goofy I can spray the ends of the pipes black to hide them. It looks sort of cool from the rear with the silver pipes curling up under the car.

This is what it would look like with the ends of the pipes black. You would still see the pipes curl up from under the axle and then disappear. Any thoughts?
