Opions please. Are we seeing the Tiger's Swan Song? Are the Lion's the 'as usual' 6-10 team this year? Let's leave out college for now and keep the talk PRO or in the Lion's case, SEMI-PRO. :icon_eek:

Will someone ever bring Pro Football (NFL) to Michigan? Could Grand Rapids be a PRO FOOTBALL town?:dontknow:
Well anyway... It looks like another stinkin' year for the Lion's and if the Tiger's fold that would be tragic! :pow:

there still is a lot of baseball to play. I didnt the polanco injury would effect this team is it did. i personally think if they can make it through the stretch and make the playoffs we have the best shot at a world series. for the lions fuck them bitches. go blue

The Tigers have been struggling lately. I hope they can finish strong, if they somehow end up losing the division it will be a gigantic collapse. Don't forget they were up 10 games right around the all star break. The thing that worries me is their record against the better teams in the AL. They have a lot of trouble with the White Sox and despite winning the most recent series in Boston, they have struggled against both Sox and the Yankees. Hopefully they will turn it on here towards the end of the season.

The Lions.............I can't really get excited about a team that doesn't look much different to me than years past. Yeah they have a new "hard nosed take no crap" head coach, but that's not enough to make me think they are going to be any better. Their QB situation is still rediculous and Millen made more bonehead moves in the offseason.

Tigers are alright, plenty of Baseball left to be played, no need for concern.

1 more series in Chicago and Minnesota... they can do it, they have all season so far.

No. the tigers will hang in there. But the lions will not be 6/10. Try 5 and 11. I wouldn t waste my sunday watching the LIONS.

The Tigers are finally showing that they are human...No big deal. They are like any other "good" team, they have their slumps, it just happens to not be the greatest time for this. I really think they will be fine. Look at their August/September schedule, probably among the toughest in the Major League! They have 18 games spread among 6 teams coming up, and all of those teams have records over .500.

The Tigers will be fine every good team has a 10-20 game stretch of losing. In the games they have lost this year only a couple they haven't been in.

The Lions look awful vs Cleveland and Oakland I thought Oakland was going to put a 40 spot on them in the first half. Nothing has changed since Millen has taken over they are plain and simply out coached and out hustled each week. I had semi-high hopes this year but from what I've seen they can't run the ball. No run = no pass = 5-11 record.

Good teams don't slump at crunch time.

Teams that aren't "Good Teams" don't have a record of 82-49 in the last week of August either! The Tigers will be the last team to hit 50 losses this year.....A far cry from the shit we've had to put up with for the last 13 years, which was the last time the Tigers had a winning record!
