Throwback Mopar build

Well.....I came across the car I've always wanted, and grabbed it this weekend. Going back to my roots with a '64 Dodge 330 sedan. While I've enjoyed the Mustangs I own, and have owned, I started out racing a max-wedge '65 Dodge many years ago, and have always loved the early Mopar superstockers that set the standard for drag cars in the early 60's. The plan is to get it cleaned up and ready to compete in one of the NSS heads-up classes. I gotta say that I'm really excited at the prospect of racing one of these classic cars again!

Super cool car, can't wait to see it done. I have been building a mid 60's Satellite/Belvedere in my head for years now. One day I'll do one.

Congrats Jim!!!! Keep the pictures coming and have fun with it. It's a piece of history so treat it right

Nice. What group are you going to race with?

Actually, I'm still getting re-educated on all that. I went to the Chrysler show at Norwalk a few months back to watch my buddies race, and really got the bug to join them. They were running the 10.50, 10.00, and Hemi class, and were having a ball.

Orange and white 70 Hemi-Cuda, Orange and white '64 Plymouth lightweight car, and another has a multi-colored '64 Plymouth hardtop. The Cuda is badass, ran a pb 9.28 that weekend.
