I drove my 93 F150 to work today with 160K miles on it and it is NOT pretty, it has lots of rust, has bullet holes in it, is not an extended cab, and does not get 30 miles to the gallon...

I heard that there are little leagues around here where they don't keep score. That's BS. When I played the rule was: if you won, you got to go our for ice cream. If you lost, no ice cream for you. You should have tried harder. My kids will learn winning and losing. Hard work is the path to winning and entitlement is crap. Just because you're alive, doesn't entitle you to anything other than free air. You need to work to get things in life and instilling these ideals early in a kid's life is paramount to their future success.

I live my life based on hard work and earning what I get and never asking for anything from anyone she lives on entitlement...welfare, lawsuits and borrowing money from family members (That can't really afford it). She feels people get places because they are lucky, I feel people do well because they bust their ass. She has taught her kids to approach my younger sister to pay for things for them.. ie soccer, gymnastics, or whatever is on the list this year. They haven't tried that with me because I'll make them work for it I've also offer to allow them to invest to earn money (that's a whole other story)

I teach my daughter that there is always a winner and a loser...and that it's much better to be the winner. 
My wife tries to teach her that winning/losing doesn't really matter, what matters is that you have fun. So I tell my daughter to have fun...and winning. And that winning is a lot more fun than losing.
It's funny as hell to hear her playing with her friends and them running around and you constantly hear, "I WIN......................I WIN................................I WIN" :lol:
