about 8-9 years ago i saw a guy in a 95 Zr1 do that..i about shit lol..i dont know what kinda power he was making, but the front tires were still on the way up with he nailed 2nd..

i never understood why people completly JUMP OUT of the gas when the car heads skyward..i mean really what do think is gonna happen?...i know it catches you by surprise, but as the front starts fallin, fuckin nail it!!

i think its because your E.T drops when your hangin them high like that, and when its a points/ heads up braket race every bit counts
 
It really depends on the car. High hp cars it can go bad really fast if you click 2nd in the air. These cars don't have the power so it's a bit safer to keep shifting. It's important to get them up on the tire, but Ryan goes too far. Sometimes it's tough to find that happy medium.
