Thinking about the next one.

Trust me Tyler... I know exactly what you mean...

This is my dream...

i don't think your going to be happy with anything you pick up, speed wise until its modified

That is very true.

When I owned the Rx7, I loved it. I just got fed up with all the issues associated with a higher mileage rotary, then the BS that followed once the engine gave way and the nightmare that came after that. Basically, no dealerships are able to work on the car, and the closest place that can is down in IN. I just didn't want to deal with that anymore. It also wasn't as fast as what I would have liked.

The high HP Integra was nice because it was pretty quick, but I couldn't get the power down. I took it to the drag strip and ran something like a 13.5 at 110mph or something. Then the car started going south...needed a tune badly and started puking oil. Just didn't want to deal with it at the time.

The Evos were nice. I did enjoy them. The first one was too slow, however...and I ended up selling it to help pay for school. The second had a bunch of issues and I got rid of it because I didn't want to deal with them anymore, and wanted to get a cheaper car (bought an NA Civic).

The GTO was nice, but for having 400hp...it sure didn't FEEL like having 400hp. Again, I wanted to lower my payments going out, so I decided to trade it in for the car I have now.

So, I thought...I loved the way the Rx7 felt and the way it handled...but I hated the lack of power and reliability issues. I loved the power of the GTO, but it just felt too heavy and bulky to use that power effectively. The interior was great, though. I think the perfect blend would be the styling, handling, and lightness of the Rx7 combined with the power and torque of a nice V8. I'm not looking for something that will run 10s...I just want something that is quick (or slow to some of you guys). Eventually I want a car that will run a mid to low 12. That is what I'm looking for initially.

You can kind of see a common theme where I got to the point where I didn't want to deal with the problems of the car anymore. I've kind of outgrown that over the past few years...I've learned how to fix a lot of stuff myself. I really do want something that I can be happy with, while being able to afford to be happy with it. I've had one, but not the other. Either I could afford the car, but wasn't really happy with it or I was really happy with the car, but couldn't really afford it.

cosworth makes some nice things for the focus too. but I wouldn't suggest dropping that kind of coin into a focus.

the supercharged V8 mod though......
