for real. what do you do for a living? you travel all the time, have two vettes, a bimmer (or used to), big ass house, hot tub, sweet ass basement...
It's not about what you do for a living it's more about what you do with the money you are currently making. Bust your ass make good investment and don't waste money.
The first nice thing I bought in my Life was that Vette, I was 25 and it was the first time I ever took a loan out for anything (except school). I drive the Vette in the Summer and a $300 Subrau Station wagon in the winter. It was funny as hell. BTW I paid $15,500 for a 4 yrs old Vette:badass:
The biggest thing me and my wife did was not to live in Michigan till last year.
Her condo in NYC double in price and my house in Boston went up 75% our house in MI is down 10% in the last 18 months:icon_eek:
The Basement is an investment which will return good $$ when I sell this house I chose to put my money there instead of modding my Z06.
Now it's easy for people just to say that my wife is a Dr so that's why they have nice thing but it's as far form the truth as you can get. Currently we have nothing as a result of what she makes now. We bought the house before she even started her job in Detroit, it's all because of hard work and good financial decisions. Now 5 yrs from now, that will be a different story.
What I do
After college start a business with a couple friends (deli/Beer store) I left to follow a chick to Boston. (got Zero out of it, I was dumb)
Took a job as an Assistant Manger for a Sandwich shop chain, got promoted to a Manager than to a General Manager, after a few years I started training Managers, I left and took a Job with Allied Domecq (Dunkin Donuts, Togo's & Baskin Robbins) I was in charge of running a training Restaurant where we Trained Franchisees, I left there and went back to Papa Gino's/d'angelos as a training manager then I took a Job with Dunkin Donuts as a District Manager did that for about a year quit my job got married and moved to MI. Currently I do rehabs/New Construction in Atlanta and other investments.
Hope that helps
