The Tigers have given up

Hoke beat OSU Harbaugh has yet to win a Big Game, or anything
I wouldn't say he's not won a big game. Considering the state of the program when he took over, beating Florida twice including in a bowl game (Unless you want to say the SEC sucks except for Bama), Beating MSu handily, PSU last year massively. Yes, he's missed on OSU, but again, He's in his 3rd year. Hoke got lucky and had to play the fighting Fickles. I wouldn't exactly call that a fair comparison.

9 points is not "beating them handily"
Michigan would not have beat the second half of the season PSU

OSU is the benchmark in the Big 10, until you beat them consistently or even 50/50 you are one "of the rest"

Michigans only win last year against a ranked opponent was Wisconsin at home

The score was 27 to 10 before the 4th started. That game was over by a long shot long before the last minute touchdown by MSU. Don't confuse the final score with reality.

Michigan's defense would have killed PSU second half of the year just like they did first half of the year. It was one of the top defenses in the nation. Arm Punt and Saquon weren't going to make up the difference of almost 40 points.
