The situation changes in a blink of an eye....

Where are all of the cop haters on here?

Im not sure why people think they can pull a gun on police and survive.

most of us don't have a problem with the cops killing people who pull guns on them. it's when they get trigger happy and start killing unarmed people or their pets that some of us get upset.

They've killed two people around my area in the last year, both here justifiable IMO.

Should have put a warning on there. Hard to watch.

Sorry, given the climate on here sometimes I figured the less intro the better and just let people make their own conclusions. I agree its hard to watch but its a clean shoot; guy was crazy.

Any background story? was he drunk? I saw a couple tables tipped over when they were walking him out. Not that it matters as to him getting shot, he sealed the deal on that by pulling the gun. He had to know they would kill him, I'm wondering if his goal was suicide by cop.

"Officers were alerted to the incident after a Wal-Mart employee saw Bushey try to take a case of beer from the store. Bushey then ran to the restaurant while employees followed him and called police. Officers learned later the gun Bushey pointed at them was an air gun made to look like a Colt 1911 .45 caliber handgun."

WOW! getting yourself killed over a case of beer... how sad/pathetic.

You mean it wasnt a real gun? How could those cops be so stupid? They should have waited and verified it before they shot.

The fake gun may have also been intended to be used in a robbery. Why else would he be concealing it?
The man wouldn't provide identification to the officers and then brandished what appeared to be a gun.
My stopwatch noted 2.31 seconds between the time offers had every reason to believe their lives were in imminent danger and when the shooting began.
It sounds like the deceased was having a difficult time with life (stealing beer .. hiding in a bathroom ..).
This may very well have been a suicide by a man who didn't have the judgement or strength to try rehab again.

Damn. That male cop was on point. Saves his partner and his own life in a situation that honestly I think most cops would have failed. In the second video u even see the male cop move a napkin with silverware on a table so the guy couldn't grab it as easily and then turn around as the the guy walks by it to make sure he doesn't try. Sad video but people need to see how hard cops have it, and to think that cop probably at best makes 35-40k a year.

I believe the cops did screw up, why wouldnt they have patted him down in the bathroom when they first confronted him?

Probably because they wanted to remove the man from the crowded restaurant in case anything were to escalate. From the sounds of the situation, nobody knew he was armed. Had they tried to apprehend the man in the bathroom, there would have most likely been a shootout in the restaurant.

Dumb ass he must have been drunk... attempting to steal beer then pulling a weapon on a cop? Sorry folks he was a dum sunna bich.... Lao
