Here she is. 97k miles, bone stock, one owner. The car is in mint condition. Im going to take it to the dealer and see how much it'll cost to do all the 100k maintenance stuff. Crossing fingers that I wont die when I see the estimate.

As I said in the other thread, nice purchase. Im not sure if everyone knows the specs on these things. The dealers were practically giving them away when new, too. Awesome DD. I have to ask though, how does it handle?

Ive just been babying the thing so far, but it seems to be decent in the handling department. Ive DD my Mustang since 08 so I dont have much to compare it too, lol.

Forgot to mention; there are a few spots of rust that I need to take care of before they get any worse. Along the wheel wheels above the rear tires, where the bumper meets the 1/4 panel, and a few rock chips that are starting some surface rust. Anyone recommended for this?

Nice car, what'd you pay out of curiosity?

I wish they continued the Speed 6 in the new gen, as I'll need a new DD in a year or two and I like the new bodystyle too. I took a MS3 for a test drive and was really impressed with the handling and power. It was just a bit too small for what I was looking for.

Paid $10500. Kbb is $12.5 or so. I had a good feeling about the car despite the high miles.

Fuck, the cigarette light hasn't even been used.

What year is it? Did it have the clutch TSB done to it?

I had a 2007 Sport. Had the turbo replaced twice because of the infamous "smoking K04" issue. A Cobb Accessport wakes the car up huge, as does an intake and turbo inlet. Let me know if you have any other questions, I have a lot of info on them.

Take it to Ralph Thayer Mazda in Livonia and ask for Gary in service. Tell him Pete Georgievski, VW rep sent you. He will take care of you.

Its a 2006. I kinda just want to leave this car the way it is but if I can use the AP with the stock exhaust than I might do it.

I dont recall seeing the clutch tsb done on the paper work, but the problem should be taken care of when I get the clutch replaced. The previous owner said some paper work was thrown away so maybe it was done?

I know it needs the VVT actuator done asap along with the timing chain.

You can put a variety of maps on with the AP. I ran a Stage 2 map with the CAI, TIP, and test pipe on it. Another problem with the earlier ones was the rear differential brace, might want to look into upgrading the bushings or replacing the whole brace.

I plan on buying the front/rear mounts for the rear diff and rear motor mount.

I forgot about the motor mount. A very useful mod as well. I had the AWR with red bushings and it only vibrated badly when the A/C was on at a dead stop. Most other times you wouldn't notice.
