The Milan thread

Im not bitching about the rental being on weekdays, im stating thats why i havent attended one.

I dont live in a perfect world but i do live in a world where if you make the same mistake twice you should be changing what your doing.... Their customer service is lacking....

Corey the sad part is that no one comes here on Monday morning when they had a great time at the track. I never see the "Man thanks alot Milan I had a great weekend running my car". It's only the bad things that get talked about.

It's like the old saying.

Make one customer happy and he might tell 10 people. Piss that same guy off and he will tell everyone!

i understand, i like milan as a track. Ive never had any issues with them but ive heard alot of first hand horror stories. I also have only gone there twice a year the last couple years, so i wouldnt have much interaction with them to truly know....

FWIW, I like the track.....been taking my kid there for a few years, and have been to MM rentals and T&T's with my car....

If they ever do treat me or my family/friends like shit (when it's not warranted) I won't go back. I won't need the support of a car club to help me make my decision.

The simple solution is, if you don't like it, don't go there. If enough people feel the same and do the same, then Milan will either change their ways or they'll fade away.

Witch hunts FTL :shake:

Please, end this. Everyone who feels this issue is worth not going to Milan over will not go. Everyone who feels this is none of their concern will continue to do the same thing they have always done.

Whats done is done.

The funniest part is when people comment on the forum with both positive and negative comments in the same post they will edit it leaving only the positive. You can see it when they edit it because it says this:

Talking to yourself again???

Obviously, these are an emotional bunch of guys in touch with their true feelings. If you don't let 'em hash it out now, they might bottle it all up, which could be detrimental in the years to come...only to be undone by months, maybe years of therapy. :)
If this car's premature demise has in some way enlightened the rest of you as to the grim finish below the glossy veneer of drag racing life, and inspired you to change your ways, then their mistake carries with it an inherent nobility. And a supreme glory. We should all be so fortunate. You can say "Poor race car driver." I say: "Poor us."

We need therapy as it is. This is just giving them more to talk about.

ive got my chicken feet waiting for ya!!

Negative towards the club? Please!

So we <Varsity Ford> should pull sponsorship from Milan because of this? I guess if the Detroit News prints something some people don't like, we should stop advertising there also?

Milan and Varsity Ford are connected in one way. ADVERTISEMENT! If being a sponsor isn't bringing customers in, then the sponsorship will stop. It comes down to dollars and cents.

Open my eyes? How would you know attendance at the Heads Up event? According to you, you haven't been there this year. I was there during this event and even with the threat of RAIN the stands were packed. I guess you wouldn't know since you weren't there. Maybe you heard it 2nd or 3rd hand.

When did I ever discredit the cars? Maybe YOU should open your eyes and read a little more before YOU make any statements like that! I was bummed to see such a beautiful car<71 Camaro> be ruined. I hope he can repair it and get back racing.

I have opened my eyes and see the way they treat people there. I have also been to all the HU events last year and watched people leave the stands just about empty after 10pm. Never use to be like that and the stands are not as packed as they use to be as of last year.

The comment about the cars was not directed at you but others who made assumptions. As for hearing it second or third hand when someone post on YB first hand thier side of the story and there is no responce from the other side who are you going to believe? Not to mention Milan's Pam and Daneen both have a pretty long wrap sheet for this kind of behavior.

You do as you want and I will the same. As you can see from my post before I have not given a dime to milan this year for these exact reasons. Sooner or later if they don't change thier ways one by one people will see what goes on and go else where.

A lot of people act as if spectators only get out of hand at milan, but there are all these incidents at milan and yet nobody ever hears about stuff like this at other tracks. Same type of people at any given track.

It's hard for me to take you or Rick as bias when you both have a hand in Milan as varsity is a sponsor and milan is a sponsor in this site.

I have nothing against Rick or you, I have met Rick before at a chassis cert and have joked with you many of times on the board here. We just agree to disagree.

Doug.
