The Milan thread

Also, this is more about letting Milan be a sponsor when many of us think that they shouldn't.
We should hold our sponsors to a higher level.
Remeber Jelly? Did you have to be screwed by him directly to know he was a piece of ****. Did you have to of spent money with him to be able to tell people to stay away from him?
No, you didn't.
I really am starting to think this is about the money and less about what is right and wrong.

Ya, I think a lot of members are starting to think that.
We knew Jelly was a jackass from day one but we had to be "fair" as was argued by many members at the time and allow him to be involved as a sponsor. Again, a poor choice to pick for the argument when it was the "members" that wanted him here and it was the Directors that sent him packing.

Rick

That block was from jelly, but had nothing to do with jelly. And that guy recived a full refund within a day of him getting that block.
The main cap guy was a diff guy.

Let me ? LOL. I was in this club before you were able to drive.

Rick rick,
you forget that i called you myself when i worked at APE and said that we did NOT want to be a sponsor. You would have taken the money from APE but we declined to sponsor the club.

Maybe you should take that pitch fork and set it down and realize a FEW BAD ACTIONS FROM A FEW different people affect the WHOLE GROUP and business's image???? Ever think of that?

Are you going back to the track?

So the opinions of 76 people are useless in your eyes ? WOW.

I thought you had to speak for the club, and not the sponsors ?

Where did I say that. I said your poll was useless. It's based on a knee jerk reaction. I bet of those 76 people VERY few will boycott Milan. That's my point. Nice try to turn that around, but it's not gonna work.

Can you say how much they pay to be a sponsor?

I think that is what this is about.
How are we cutting our nose off. The ONLY loss would be there sponsorship money.

Rick took care of that sponsorship at the rental. I can tell you sponsorship is $240 for the year.

I would be at ALL track rentals if they werent on week days...

Well how about you step up and pay the difference between what a weekday rental<which is very hard to get> and a weekend rental<almost impossible> costs.

Do you honestly think we wouldn't want a Saturday rental? The problem is they are expensive<hence having sponsors like Milan to help cover costs>and hard to get.

I dont expect any motown club officials to say anything bad about milan even if they think it.....

corey

I don't think they are bad. I guess you live in that perfect world where everyone is perfect and no one makes mistakes? Tell me what's that like please. I'd love to live there.

No, I don't forget that. Nor do I forget that you were one of the ones that argued to have him here. I don't think we want to go further on this issue do you?

We can go farther, i have nothing to hide. Before JELLY bought APE i defended him. I also lost a ton of respect from people and lost a lot of good friends. Live and learn.

When i worked at APE we decided that the club officials did not defend sponsors enough. Looks like you guys turned that problem around. :shake:

Alright, everyone let's calm down and stop for a second...

Why don't we write a letter expressing our concern and questions and take it from there? Sound fair enough?

Let's go further, You and the Jelly crew tore into another sponsor before he bought APE in the hopes of setting himself up to be a big shop owner. We resited granting the sponsorship and Geoff was flat out against it but we gave in for one year in the hopes of keeping the piece here. It failed.

Yes, Jelly bitched after he chewed into a sponsor for over a year before he became a sponsor and then you guys thought you need protection. BS, we kept it just the way it always was at the time.

Have we become a little more responsible about managing the bickering? Yes because two sponsors got driven out of business because of the internet squabling here and the crimal management at the other one.

So pot, meet kettle, we're all a part of the same kitchen brother. :)

Rick

Ya, it was the first thing that came to mind.
My point is that it seems that it's ok for a sponsor to treat people really bad as long as they don't do it to MM members when MM pays them for an event.
Outside of that, the sponsor can be pretty poor.

So MM must be the moral compass for every sponsor? Or maybe anytime a sponsors has an issue with a customer we should give them their money back an ban them from the site.

Alright, everyone let's calm down and stop for a second...

Sounds great! Just make sure everyone that is involved signs there name. Don't make it a Motown Muscle letter since not everyone feels the same.

.... sponsors got driven out of business because of the internet squabling here ......

Please...you mean the sponsor that sold out to another sponsor ?

Then was fired/quit from that sponsor?

Then was fired from another tuning job ?

Then was fired from another company ?

That autistic guy with a faggot-ass colored car ?

Im pretty sure that the internet had nothing to do with him going out of biz. It might have been the grenades he built/tuned.

It is what it is. They supported the club when no one else would. Had we kept the jackasses in line at the time the world might have been a different place. Kirk might have kept APE, Jelly might have ripped someone else off and pigs might fly. :)

I respect your opinion on the internet killing his biz, but i totally disagree and have to raise the B.S. flag.

It is what it is.

Please, end this. Everyone who feels this issue is worth not going to Milan over will not go. Everyone who feels this is none of their concern will continue to do the same thing they have always done.

Whats done is done.

Im not bitching about the rental being on weekdays, im stating thats why i havent attended one.

I dont live in a perfect world but i do live in a world where if you make the same mistake twice you should be changing what your doing.... Their customer service is lacking....
