I bet if mm.com, yellow bullet, mich speed, camaroz28, detroit street cars all banned together and boycotted milan we could make a differance.

I know, I know...but hey, I support the site too ya know ;) And I don't have time to look at banners

>Drew and Mike drop< NICE COMEBACK! :jagoff:

Your dues don't just pay for the site. Again it's more than a website. It's a car club WITH a website. The site doesn't define this club, the people and events do.

I say we give them thier money back. Put a public pole up for it. Its time to make a stand as a car club : " As paying members of the automotive community, we will NOT be treated with abuse and disrespect. The actions of the Milan staff affect the well being and fun of this car crafting hobby. Thousands of dollars are spent in the pursuit of a fun and freindly time. The ownership at milan seems to be directly at odds with that endevor. At this time we will fully promote a boycott of Milan and all events until these problems are delt with publicly. "
Numa numa has a point here... :mmm:

Anyways I'll be at Milan T&T next Wed night to lay down some base numbers with the SS if anyone wants to join. Carry on.

They have it nailed down. They're the only track around the metro area and they know it. Thats how they can get away with overcharging and overreacting to things.

Last time I checked you haven't even been on a track yet this year... And neither have I...

I was there last Heads Up race watching. I'll be there Saturday watching and maybe running. I'll have cars displayed there and once my ride is done in the next week or so I'll be out testing.

You have been there this year. Are you nt going to to show up for anymore racing? If so, good luck with that. I'm sure you can get updates from the people that are there.

Do you really think a boycott is going to work? Hey after we boycott Milan can we boycott the Oil companies? How about we don't fill our cars up on....Thrusdays! That should do it

Sure boycott it since you don't race anyway. I'm sure they will be crushed

I may not race there yet but i do spend cash there. Like admission for me and the kids, food for me and the kids, ice cream for me and the kids, ect. I may only spend close to a hundred each time i go, but the thousands of other people that spend a hundred that boycott as well will affect them.

I know its hard to boycott a track that your uncle rents a suite at.

I agree with this to a point. They do have it nailed down. I don't think they overcharge, but I'm a business man. :D As for overreacting, Yes it seems they have done that.

Really? When was the last time you were out there spending your hundreds of dollars?

Why would I boycott the only track that makes sense for me to race at?

Oh if you are going to TRY and get a dig on me, get it right. No suite, just sponsors the left lane.

The site doesn't define this club, the people and events do.

Wish I could make it to all the events...or even a few. Unfortunately, I'm 2 hours away, so this website is usually the closest thing I have to the club. Hopefully I'll get down there someday for an event...I'd really like to.

Do you honestly think people will continue to go there after so many events happening like this? Do you honestly think nothing will happen sooner or later? Get fucking real Matt, get fucking real... You seen it and I have seen it were businesses thought they were untouchable and nobody could take them down... And look what happened, they let things get out of control and they didn't do shit about it... Now look what is happening... They are paying the long term price when they could of stopped it in the begining...

All right, let me break it down people.

Milan has a duty to protect the drivers and the fans alike. Track conditions are understood by the drivers and the track at the time of the pass. You don't like it, you don't line up. Are spotters a good idea, yes and hopefully they add them for future Heads Up night races.

The emergency crews can not respond to an accident when everyone is jumping the wall. If spectators are in the way you can not help the drivers nor can you keep them safe. The safety crew is trained to do their jobs and respond. GTF out of the way and let them do it. Want to be heros get more people killed than they save in most cases.

In the heat of the moment there is no way to know who is family and who isn't. If you're a racer family member you get to the wall and you wait for security to take you over. You should know better than to jump the wall.

There is a 40mph difference between this accident and the car that hit the wall Friday night at PINKS ALL OUT at Norwalk. Same problem, everyone jumping the wall and getting in the way of the safety crew. They had to clear fans before they could get the driver out and the guy was unconsious with a broken leg and abdonminal injuires. He got medi-evac by the chopper. The guy could have bled out in the time that it took to get the fans out of the way so they could work on him safely.

All these drivers got lucky as we all do with each pass.

For those that want to protest, try volunteering to work at the track for the events. Get trained and work as a spotter for the events. If you want to make a differnce do more then just piss and moan on the internet. Get involved.

As far as bitching and moaning, will you guys respect the results of the poll ?

Internet or not ?

And when is the behavior of the owners become something we take a stand against? When it gets physical ? Nawww...they push and slap paying people.
When someone vandalizes something. nawww...they trew chicken skin and feet at racers last year.
