It's like a 5 step process. We mix paint where I work, I just picked a purple base coat I liked from the chip book. Then I sprayed the purple base, put a heavy coat of clear on, then used this to blow the dry flakes into the wet clear.

Then I had to bury the flakes with a shit ton of clear. Then a week later, sand it flat, I put more flakes down, this time I mixed them in the clear with a suspension gun so they lay more flat, then I put two coats of blending clear with some House of Kolor candy concentrate to alter the shade a bit to what I wanted, then more clear.

Then just wet sand and wheel.
The radiator tube was a little more simple process, it's a different effect, but a lot easier to do.
