The hot rods are finally in our garage here in Illinois. This was a little intense for both me and Sparky. The moving company first sent a flat bed semi with 8 ft ramps. No way were the cars going to make it up there. Mark did give it a try but quickly backed down and told the guy to leave. We then arranged for Fed Ex to pick them up. It was a little scary watching the dude back the 71 from the top of the hauler. Mark needs to do something with the brakes - I don't know what - but we were a little scared on whether the dude could handle the car. He did, thankfully. And then it was the 74's turn. No problem. As soon as she was on the ground and a little warmed up we jumped in and took a nice long drive. Felt so good to have the windows down and enjoy a beautiful evening here. Hope the weather is nice in MI too. The rednecks of our new neighborhood have finally arrived. LOL A bunch of the male neighbors came out to check it out and I swear a couple teenage boys were fondling themselves. (Mark says I've learned too much from reading this board lol).

So, we are now with our cars well, minus red hawk because she has a new home.....it seems weird looking in the garage and not seeing her. We miss MI - it just isn't the same driving around here in a classic.

Glad to hear they both made it in one piece...Im sure once it gets really nice out, you'll get right back into the swing of things.

Where are you in IL? I am in Gurnee, about 8 miles from the WI border (I can smell the cheese from here).

Welcome to the state where the dead vote (Chicago) and the road rage is rampant.

We were in an apartment in Gurnee and are now living in McHenry.
