Randy, it's ok. Just curious why aren't you running some sort of aftermarket aluminum head on that motor?

$$$, I had a set but sold them. Once I can catch up on other bills I can spend the money on a good set of heads and another cam ;)
 
Larry is right, the heads have never been off the motor. :)

97blksvt, you've got the idea. Really the whole purpose of what I'm doing is I'll have the car ready to go (suspension/drivetrainwise) as soon as I start making power ie larger displacement forced induction motor down the road. I'm going to run it "cam only" for a bit, hopefully get it to run the number I want. If it does we will take some timing out of it and see what it does on the jug. If it let's go, no big deal.

I like the sound of my stock cobra better but yours sounds good to
 
The exhaust on my car in the video is a junk hillbilly setup. It worked and performed well but sounded like absolute dog crap. I think the Kooks, x pipe and spiral flows will give the car a much better sound.

To each his own though, I'm glad you like the sound of your stock cobra better. You have to drive it.
 
A friend of mine was playing around with a picture of a formula firebird and here's what he came up with. Anyway, that's what mine should look like besides the hood. I am going to use a lift off instead.

Nothing really new...Im hopeing to get it back on the ground this weekend. Id like to have my 315/60/60's already.........
 
I had 15x10 prostars but since I have stock brakes I had to grind to get em to fit. I started grinding and got to the point where I thought it was a little rediculous and the wheels still wouldn't fit. At that point I made the decision to sack up and go with bogarts. If I had a drag brake on the car I would have just used the prostars.

I'm poor as well. Maybe Val can hand me down a real engine or something...?

Get a pic up of the 30" radial once you get it on. I would like to see that.

I'm small time compared to what you are doing, 325/50/15 on a stock length rearend, no tubs, just a BFG pouding. Not to mention the whole stock headed, stock bottomend "cam only" ls1 thing.

325/50/15 is roughly same size as a "W" tire. I did the BFH on my old Formula. With the way everything is going Im in the same boat. Ill look fast...........
