The beater is getting there

I need to do a SN95 swap to get the fronts to fit. Everything I read only mentioned the center caps not clearing the dust cap. Sadly, the hub bore is way to small. The rears are 315/35/17, fronts are 275/45/17(when they get put on).

Yes, I know I'm missing a lug nut, that is being taken care of.

Just fyi, you can grind the hub at a 45 degree angle and they will fit. Just a thought till you get it done 'right'.

had exactly the same problem on my fox with aftermarket wheels not clearing factory style hubs. 13" cobra SN95 setup, problem solved.

grind the hub as stated above...

My Anny wheels fit fine on my Lincoln rotors WITH center cap, but NO dust cap.

and please replace that SVE center cap. :)

For realies? I want the fronts on NOW!! The way the strut is mounted, the wheel will not slide onto the hub all the way. The SN swap is a must have.:banghead:

What sizes are you running? I have 10.5s in the rear and 9s up front.

I have a 9 inch Cobra wheel up front.

If you look at the inside part of your wheel, you will notice it has a bevel on it. If you look at your hub, there is no bevel. Thus the wheel does not fit over the hub. Grind a bevel on your hub, and it will fit.

My rotors are different than those. The OD on mine goes all the way out to the dust cap.

Here is the rotor from an 89 Mark.

They changed the brakes in 90/91.

I wouldn't run without a dust cap. I would smash the shit out of the dust cap with a hammer or find a shorter dust cap.

Dude, just go buy new rotors then, I tired to help you but you cant seem to get it.

And Trunk, why not? I did mine as a temp solution, but its been like that for over 2 years. NEVER had a drop of grease anywhere inside the cap area. Any sort of cap wont work, it must be NO dust cap to fit with those rotors and a center cap. Or at least with mine it was.

If it wasn't taking half the material off the surface Id do it now but, that's clearly a lot of material.

Clean car dude, I rolled next to you down woodward for a while friday after we left from caribou (blue/green stang obnoxious cowl) Love with wheels!
