The ask Tin about audio thread

I had my Velodyne fixed by Parlophone in Bloomfield Hills.
I cant find it anymore. When did they close ?
Not sure, I know Velodyne isn't making parts anymore. My buddy is going to try to fix with radioshack parts and see what happens. Amp is fried so he can have fun with that lol

I have 2 of the 12”s in my basement. Ask well as 7 other Klipsch speakers and a large receiver lol. FYI Costco has these subs on sale for $169 right now.

Crap, thank you for posting. I hadn't even thought to look there. That is an absolute steal.

No problem. 1 bangs pretty good. I’ve had the first one for 3-4yrs and saw them for $169 or $189 at Costco end of last summer so I had to buy a second.

I picked up the klipsch reference home theater set of speakers from Costco for $370 a while ago. I started looking at them when the normal price was almost 1k. The best buy for the money by far. They sound excellent and are very impressive for their size.

I ended up getting an 8" 80 watt sub from Dayton Audio on a flash sale for $60. It is perfect for music in the small room I am putting it in. I will admit that it is a bit boomy, but if I turn the crossover as low as it will go, it blends pretty good with my bookshelf speakers. Can't beat it for $63.60 shipped!

It bumps pretty good for $170...Thanks again for the TIP!!!!

Hell yeah. I think I paid like $300 or maybe more for my first one like 6yrs ago or maybe longer. When the wife was strolling through Costco one day she sent me a picture asking if it was my same sub. I text her back and told her to bring another one home lol

Try turning the crossover UP to 80-100 hertz, it should make it less boomy and help the midrange of your bookshelf speakers.
