The buyout on my silverado i'm turning in next week is around $25K, its fairly basic though.

I have a tough time believing your friend got a new truck for $16K, unless its a reg cab v6 work truck maybe.

This is far from the first truck in the $100K realm, g-wagon's and caddy's have been hitting those numbers for years.

I believe that is exactly what he told me he got. Said it was a stripped v6 work truck. With employee discount and a couple other discounts. No trade in though. Still seems hard to believe.

Silverados have about $10k in incentives right now. If you could find just the right build combination you might be able to get them all on a pretty base truck. Could have been a demo too, or maybe the dealer just wanted to get rid of it and threw some extra money on the hood. They have that power if they choose to use it.
