The 2011-2012 Michigan B-Ball thread (no Fartans allowed)

Texas looks like they will make the dance! Would be cool to upset Mizery tonight, they came close to beating them but just couldnt pull it out so its very possible.

The Dance, maybe. Mizzou? Nope.

According to every site they are pretty much in the Dance, there not even in the "last 4 in" anymore. And you dont know much about this Texas team, they have come VERY close to beating Mizery, baylor and KU.... Just cant finish strong.

This article must be wrong. Swift said that the Big 10 was weak this year or something or other.

Sorry, I still think the conference is weak. There are only going to be 6 teams in the dance. In years past, there were 7-9 teams in. Northwestern didn't deserve a bid. South East Michigan, MSU and Indiana over achieved. Ohio State, Purdue and Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota under achieved.

Apparently Michigan decided to take the day off

Michigan State 68, Ohio State 64 *** Michigan State Spartans are the 2012 B1G Tournament Champions!!! ***

This was avery good, very close game. Hopefully they get the #1 seed. If not, a #2 is guaranteed.

I just picked. I pay very little attention to college basketball until March, so I feel like my picks are very bad.

I did pick MSU and Ohio State to play in the finals...that would be pretty sweet to see them play again this season.

On a few sites, MSU is the number one pick for an upset in the second round. Memphis and St Louis are both under rated and their major strengths is MSU's greatest weaknesses.

Other schools on the Upset alert is Syracuse, Indiana, Wisconsin, Vandy, Wichita State, UNLV, and a few others.

Not sure if any of you can read this: http://insider.espn.go.com/mens-col...ent-giant-killers-most-likely-round-32-upsets

I have an 'IN" subscription with ESPN. I would copy it, but don't want the board to get in trouble for improperly quoting an article.

I think MSU will be fine. If the matches play out, I'd be more concerned with Louisville and Mizzou. Still think they are Final Four material. It becomes a disappointing season if they don't get that far. The only team that I see that really outclasses MSU talent wise is Kentucky, and that would be our Final Four opponent.

I have South East Michigan making it to the North Carolina game.
