I'm headed down to the newly remodeled historic Crisler arena for my first Michigan b-ball game this season. Big game against Towson tonight. lol Anyone else headed to A2?

You won't be laughing tomorrow when Coach K gets his 903rd win against MSU. :D

I know Duke is going to win. They also play FSU and Gonzaga before the B1G season starts. 9 underclasssmen on the team. Going thru the rebuilding process. I'm wondering how MSU was picked 3rd in the B1G. Izzo has a lot to do before March.

Had a chance to go to the game, but had to pass it up. I'm pumped for the season

Crisler is insanely nice after the renovation. It no longer has the feeling of an "old" athletic building. It's really nice, comfy as hell too.

You didn't miss much last night. Michigan started the game on a 22-0 run, never looked back.

Looking good this year. I've not followed Basketball all that much in the past, other than to keep an eye on U of M to see how they were doing and to watch the tourney. Definitely paying more attention this year.

Spartan fans have learned to realize that November and December isn't as important as March.

totally agree....but a win over a top 10 team on neutral site does help confidence and toughness later in the year.

Sounds like sour grapes from a team that got swept last year by Michigan. Scoreboard bitch

Don't get me wrong. A win is a win. Beating Duke is good. But look at MSU's record vs Duke & NC; not good. Izzo stacks his schedule to build toughness and get experience for conference play and the tournament. If Michigan wins, it's good. If they lose, it's still good.

Mike, MSU had a bad year last year. Our bad years still get offers for the tourney, not NIT bids (or even lack there of). I don't know that I'd be chest pounding because UM has gone 7-23 against MSU since Izzo took over and 2-4 since Beilein took over. I'm looking forward to two good games.

Wait wait wait wait wait... If in Football, the past is the past, and only the current winner in the series can talk, then why are you bring up history now. If you want to, we can gladly take a walk down memory lane in football.

Again, Welcome to Bizarro World... your captain for this tour is Swifster. Logic and rational speaking does not apply hear. In football threads, all that matters is the last time MSU won and the very recent past. No talk shall be made of overall records, recent national championships, or Spartan arrest records. In basketball threads, all that matters is the overall record. No talk shall be made of current records or the fact that MSU hasn't beaten Michigan in almost 2 years now.

It's what he does. Twists the facts and the timelines to suit whatever he's typing at that actual moment. Nothing else matters.

Like I said, he's clearly bi-polar and borderline schizophrenic.

I mean, let's be honest... we're talking about a guy who's name is derived from a Suzuki Swift. That should tell you everything you need to know about him.

Ryan, I never said UM didn't have the upper hand between 1969 and 2007. I just try to keep things relevant to apples to apples. I also look at the here and now. I keep waiting to hear from you two losers about Michigan having the better basketball 'program'. And yes, in the big picture of things, 2000 is meaningless compared to now, even in basketball.

Having one good year doesn't make you dominate. Beilein and Izzo still have players from 2008. Izzo is 4-2 vs Beilein. That is current and relevant. Just like the last 4 years are relevant in football. So over history and currently, MSU has had the better basketball program.

And Mike, I always had a standing offer when I had my IT car, I was open to all comers, but I get to pick the track. I had a couple guys bring out their Mustangs and F-Bodies and never lost (Corvette Club Solo at Waterford). I have no regrets about that little Suzuki for racing. I have another in the garage to build an H-Production car for SCCA.

By the way Mike, no deflecting from the offered bet in the football thread. Put up or shut up.

Tell ya what. You own up on your bet about open carrying in schools to one of the dozens of guys who accepted your offer and I'll take you up on the MSU bet. Put up or shut up.
