Man, that's going to be a long haul everyday. Keep in mind FL-528 is a toll road. It'll be about $5 each way. Between the toll booths and traffic, it will take over an hour each way.
Hold on to your MO plates as long as possible. In addition to the cost of plates, you'll get charged an extra $100 for 'new wheels' tax. Any car registered in FL for the first time gets hit with this. I paid the tax in '06 on my Ranger. My Caliber is still registered in MI.
Plates are handled at the county tax office. Driver's licenses are handled at the Driver's License place. Get online and make an appointment before going and just showing up. Appointment get priority. Come in without an appointment and you could be there until 5:00PM. A new thing they'll want is a certified copy your birth certificate. Be prepared.
I'm a MI resident. I plan on keeping those plates as long as possible. I'll hit you up when I decide to make a Tampa trip. Would be nice to put a face with the name.
We did a Disney/Cocoa beach trip a few years ago. We stayed at a pretty beat Holiday Inn on the water but I loved every minute of it. cool sunset at jack bakers lobster shack. Shit ton of jelly fish!
