i reallly like those!!! i would mot likely end up with the scoooby version tho! i just wish they made them a bit quicker!!! really bad ass none the less!! i bet a blast to drive!!! congrats on your new car!!
 
Thanks! Not mine yet, but should be signing the papers in about 3 hours. And yeah, they're slow, but for how I drive (only really drive fast around corners) it should be perfect!
 
Man thats a sweet looking car. Are they going to keep them NA, or are there plans to stick a hair dryer on them anytime soon?
 
Bad news...went to pick it up, and as I was signing the paperwork the sales manager came up and said that their lot guy had backed into a wall or something and busted the bumper up. SO, they're getting me another one...should be 1-2 weeks, and they gave me a ct200h as a loaner, so I can't complain too much. GTO is sold, though, so that's good!
 
Also, no plans for factory turbo or supercharger...TRD is making one, but for race use only (and its priced so high it is cost prohibitive to be anything other than for a race team). Plenty of aftermarket kits out there in both applications. Making decent power...think the bigger kits are pushing cars into the low 11s, but there's plenty more to go.

Ha I wish, Chris. Literally as I'm signing the paperwork he comes in and tells me. Oh well...free Lexus to beat on for a couple of weeks and a new FRS at the end. Can't be too upset, I guess
 
Plus they're driving the new one to me, which saves us another 3hr trip. All in all, everything is getting handled pretty well I think
 
I'd be an asshole and ask for some free accessories :D


BTW - lmk when the new NEW one arrives, I'll taunt you with some more cellphone pics again. lol

Seriously though, let me know when the new one gets there. I'll stop by after hours again and put a sticky note on the windshield asking them to please not back this one in to a wall.

How frustrating! Sounds like they are taking care of it the right way though. Are they getting you a different car or just a replacing the bumper before you pick it up?

Enjoy it! I test drove one and loved it... I'm actually in the process of selling my C5 Z06 and will probably end up with an FRS as well :)
 
They're getting me a whole new car...didn't want a fix-up because I'd always know it was like that. And if you're interested in the car, check out ft86club.com - lots of good info there!
 
The brz Sti version isn't going to have much more power than the normal car from what I've read, and most of the gains will be through things that are offered through the aftermarket already, like a more aggressive tune and higher flowing intake and exhaust
 
What a let down, really a good dealer finding you a new car. Are they doing a dealer trade? I can't believe they can order and build one in that short of time. Only issue with a dealer trade is they drive the car sometimes hundreds of miles. My brother bought a new Mustang GT and it was a dealer trade to get just what he wanted, had 300 miles on it. It was still perfect but just not the same as having under 10 miles for your first new car. I'm just stupid anal and don't trust people.
