i was just out there this past weekend to see the Mich/Ball State game. My friend lives down the block from a guy with a Chevelle with the plates 1Mean71.

What is a Coney?

A hot dog or a restaurant..? (Coney is a hot dog or short for "Coney Island" as in the restaurant)

well yes and no, a coney, in true culinary terms has some type of brown meat sauce on it (or in flint sometimes red), usually accompanied my onions and mustard, or if you dont like onions or mustard some damned good cheese works too

the correct term is coney sauce, chili is a stew, not a sauce, different ingredients, preperation, and purposes, i guess you could describe coney sauce as chili like, but its definately not even close to chili

Are there any places on Telegraph that are famous for Coneys that I can try next time? My friend lives near that old timey looking McD's.

i guess, my wife would probably argue this more, shes the culinary arts major, im just the fat husband who enjoys "coney" dogs, oh, and BTW Lafayette Coney Island FTW

50's McDonalds? Jouli is just north of 50's McDonalds on the same side of the road. good food cheap.

hell yeah, even if not everyone agrees on terms at least some of us know where the best of them are made :D, anyways its been over 2 years since i've had one

National is good because you can get your coney, beer, hot fudge sundae and then stay for breakfast all in the same race night. :D

All fixed, basically had a valvetrain problem that luckily did not cause any other damage. I might run again this weekend weather permitting.

Thanks on the names of the Coney places, I'll check them out.

We were staying in Dearborn. We ate at La Shish (?) for dinner.

We'll let you slide on the La Shish since you're an out of towner, but for your next visit, avoid that place at all costs...the owner was proven to be shelling out tens of millions of dollars to Hezbollah and is now back there avoiding arrest or something...his sons were also involved in a big murder case where they killed someone when a deal went sour or something along those lines...don't give them another dime!
