T56 in a 98gt

Im looking into tranny options and t56 seems to be the best bang for the buck. The car makes a good amount of power and this t45 is not goin to last one pass on a tire. Id love to do a 470rw but seems like its goin to cost a ton of money. Is the t56 pretty much a direct swap? Any input on either trannys would help me out a ton.

Direct bolt in and you would be spending your cash with a michigan based company .
