T56 6 speed transmission conversion complete

I have a T56 that I bought from GM less then 2 years ago. Total mileage on the trans is less then 8000 miles. This was not a reman, or a used unit. It was brand new. I have since bent a fork inside the trans, and I want my 3 speed back anyway. So here is what you will get and what I will do. For those that dont know me, there are numerous members who will vouch for me, some better then others I am sure

I am having the trans rebuilt by a professional shop here in the Grand Rapids area. I will pay to have it built to factory specs as a part of the sale price. So you will have a fresh, zero miles trans. I can also have it upgraded with any of the HiPo upgrades that are out there, as long as you the buyer are willing to pay for them up front. I will only pass on the shops costs to do it, no money making on this. But if you want a built unit, here is your chance.

You will get the transmission new rebuilt, with the bellhousing, pedals, and a brand new GM slave unit. I bought the slave last summer. Crossmember is included also. The trim bezel for a 6 speed is there in perfect condition, and a B&M Ripper shifter is on top.

For the clutch and pressure plate setup, you are going to get more then normal. You will get a brand new Spec stage 4 clutch disc with less then 500 miles on it, and a matching pressure plate and flywheel. Both less then 500 miles on them. Also included is a Spec stage 3 disc with about 1500 miles on it. I will also throw in a LT4 pressure plate and flywheel, and a stocker pressure plate that I have.

I will also include the pigtails that plug into the transmission. Or at least all of the ones that I utilitized. And as an added bonus, if you send me your OBD1 ECM, I will send my OBD1 ECM that is setup for a manual car. So you arent throwing codes all over the place if you are converting from an auto.

So there is everything you could possible need to put this thing in your car. And with a fresh trans to boot.

Complete setup is still in my car. Figure a few weeks to get it rebuilt, and a weekend to pull the whole thing out. If you are in a rush or hurry, or your just one of those impatient people, please keep looking. This has to be pulled, rebuilt and shipped. I will work with anyone every step of the way, but have no tollerance for people trying to rush something.

I'll vouche! I bought a 355 block (350ci, .030 over) with the machine work fresh and new cam bearings already installed and an Eagle Crankshaft off him last fall for a killer deal! Excellent guy!

Reminds me, over Thanksgiving break the 355 is going into the car! 305 came out a few weeks back

Good to hear Tom. The guy who is rebuilding this trans is the same guy who did the machine work on that block.

What's your price without having it rebuilt? How about just trans with bellhousing? I'd understand if you want to sell the whole setup, but would rather rebuild the trans myself if the price was right..

1400 with everything as is. And the trans is still in the car, just a saturday evening from being ready. I was trying to postpone it till after Thanksgiving.
