T5 question

I am going to a T5 set up in my ride. The TKO trans will not fit my car without cutting the floor. Has anyone used the "heavy duty" kits from G force or liberty and are they worth the money? My ride will have about 400 hp under the hood and the car weighs about 3k.

Do you already have the trans? I wouldn't think you would need something as big as a TKO for 400hp.
I say a Liberty T5 or G-Force T5 would be all you need. Is it street strip? Strip only? just street?

Just a thought.
 
Yes I have a trans out of a 94 (I think missing tag). Input shaft is almost 8" long and the main case has Tremec castings all over it. One of the ears on the trans where it bolts to the bell housing is broken off. I will have to change the main case. I have everything else to convert over. Anyone on here have a good main case they wanna unload cheap? I was just throwing around putting in some beefing stuff while I have it apart if need be. The car is a 1964 Falcon primarily street maybe a few passes here or there at the nostalgia drags who knows. Definitely not a drag car. No NOS, blower, or turbo. I know there are a lot of people running sticks on here just wanted some input.

Used G-Force in the past. Great guys. Trans was fine. 450 horse FRPP Crate motor in 2800# car.
Liberty is right up the street (Taylor). If you're patient, they are that good. Might have a hook-up. PM me if interested.

I have an Astro Performance gearset in my T5 (They originally made the GForce T5), and its a beast.
 
I got the first gear sets when they first came out a long time ago. Full set for everything was like $1200 I think. I did the install myself.
