switching from att uverse to comcast

It's exactly what I've got U200 + mid internet the bill is $105 each month.
I get the free hbo for 3 months and more once in a while. They did have some issues two years ago, when they just started in my area, but since then it's been awesome.
yeah but I wanted the DVR and HD
 
TV/internet service has become like car insurance. I find I get teh best price if I just keep switching every year or so. I am with uverse right now, but will go back to comcast when the come by with a good price.
 
I say give Dish Network a try as well. I loved them for TV service. I don't ever recall losing service from storms, trees, or anything else like people always claim is the problem with satellite service but they probably never even had one in the first place. With Comcast, I always would lose TV service and they are pricey.

Ive tried and tried to get comcast for my business (cable is about 100' away) but they will not hook it up. Ive called at least twice a year for 5 years now with no luck. They give me BS answers every time. Their customer service is horrible.
At home Ive had ATT U verse since it came out.3yrs? They had troubles with signials on the orginial install, but the TV phone & internet has been flawless since. Not even wow could match their pricing/packaging discounts.
Ive been checking. Att is close to my business now. I cant wait.

if you want i'll pm you the number of the guy who got my business service, he did a great job. They had to run A LOT of line and it was real time consuming for them.
 
My 1 year Comcast promotion just ended and my rate jumped from 102 to 147. Anyone got a foolproof technique for getting it back down. Im going to give them the option to lower it or else ill probably be going with WOW or Uverse soon also

We used to be able to "re-bundle" you onto a "New customer" promotion. Now, your pretty much stuck with the every day pricing. They might give you a free box or put you on a promotion for one service, but even the cancellation department can't put you back to where you used to be. It's forecasted that we will make money by losing the ones who don't believe they are getting their moneys worth by retaining customers who reconize the value of their service. For the first quarter of this year this forecast is correct and exceeding expectations.

if you completely cancel the service can you sign up again say 6mo later and still get the promotions?
 
This is how close the line is to my building, right outside my front door they are working on the connection to the building across the street.

You can sign up the next day if you put it under your wife/kids/aunts/uncles/dads name. :D

called att the best they can do is match what I was already paying, and they said my rate just went up so now by switching to comcast instead of saving 30 or 40 bucks a month its more like 60 to 70 lol glad I switched before I got that bill.

I didn't really want to switch from uverse to comcast but with the pricing the way it is I'd be a dummy not to. Had wow before uverse and had great service with them too.
 
he needed a copy of the bill to prove that he has converter a customer of XXXX to comcast. when i switched to comcast, they gave better rates to people switching from ATT. If you switched from ATT you got the deal for 89, switch from WOW, dish network, DirectTV or Brighthouse and the package was 99.
 
I have U-verse U400 package 3 dvr's,internet and my bill is 137.00 a month.I had some issues with the wireless internet but that was resolved and the whole house was rewired with fiber-optice cable(ditched coaxle) and the cable is trouble free,HD is great!!
 
I kid you not, 5 minutes after the comcast guy left yesterday, my wife turns to me and says. "I miss uverse already" and she was the one pushing for the swap! :facepalm:

I dn't have all the movie channels I thought I would have like Encore and TMC and all the on demand movies they brought, but I have HBO so at least I can watch The Pacific.
 
now see, i just priced out Uverse for my identical plan and comcast is giving it to me for 119 now. Uverse U200 plus internet is 137.

ive got u200 and internet for under a hundred... i just called to two days ago to lower from u300 cause i am never home to watch it

My wife called comcast today because we received a flier in the mail at the shop (she had no idea I was posting about it on here) ....the price went up. Sales rep said for 15k they would run a line to my shop...according to their records the line is 35' away (I'm not kidding).

Great company.

Ill call your guy next week when I have time DarkStoj....wondering...do you have his business card w/Email address?
