Sweet jesus... 1000hp street sleeper

Man 1200 to the tire on an MD and in the 140s??? Thing must really not be able to hook up. I went 160 with 750 on an MD. lol 1200 rwhp can get you into the 180s when it's working.

Sweet street ride anyways though!!

x2

Definitely a sweet looking ride! But it must have been making about 650hp the day it went down the track.

I have a car that made just a little over 600rwhp on a Mustang dyno and it goes in the mid-high 150s in the quarter. Granted, it only weighs 2700lbs..lol

I have several timeslips where the car wouldn't hook so it went 10.20 and 10.30s @ 154-155mph...lol

I have seen a car 180's on 950 ish on my machine. Thats what we call numbers fixing.

I don't know if it's numbers fixing or torque converter differences. I've seen the numbers for my car change a lot just based on the converter in the car. I think with a race automatic the numbers are only good to watch for changes, they don't seem to mean too much beyond that.

My coupe with a t-trim went 9.70's and 140mph with 540rw. Same car later went 9.0 @ 155 with like 680rw.

I can usually "sometimes I have been way off " but more time then not pin a car down to a tenth or so and a few mph in the quarter right off the numbers.

yep ley me look. the car was built at EPP.

this is with the bogarts on it, normally it just has the 35th wheels on it. car does nothing but spin and go low 11's but has trapped deep into the 140's  the old man has no seat time to make it go down the track at a decent time.

That car pulled in right behind me at Pinks and was pitted directly across from us. He must have tuned it down for the event.

Sweet set-up on that car! There is NO way he can put that power down on those little tires.

HOTNESS! Too bad APS shit the bed on those kits though :(
Yeah they designed a nice kit. Just turns out used some crappy suppliers for a very important component.....

Yeah, I read through that drama thread the other day. Too bad they couldn't step up, from the sounds of it it's a nice kit with LG's better turbos.
Yeah I just saw all that. Pretty disapointing......

Yeah it really does, they always looked like top notch stuff everytime I saw them :(
The rest of the kit is a sweet set-up and very well made.

what happened? Tony seems to have had real good luck on his kit
I must've gotten really lucky with mine... I have 23k on them and may have finally killed them. Something was smoking on Woodward. I gotta dig into that and figure out what it was.

From the sounds of it they sold junk Chinese knockoff turbos and a lot of people had failures but they wouldn't warrant them. About a week ago someone called them out publicly and they stated that they've stopped making and supporting all GM turbo kits. Aside from saying they no longer sell/support the f-body kit, they wouldn't even remotely address everyone's questions or concerns about the existing kits nor did they seem to want to help the people that had failures.
They 'said' they would warranty them but nobody wanted to send the turbo's back. To expensive to be told they would not warranty them. Most guys got rebuilds or upgraded to the LG turbo's. Which I may need to do eventually.... Yeah that was pretty disappointing how Peter didn't answer anything in there. But at least I got my kit and didn't get screwed out of $$.

that's a nice power curve.
Heck yeah that is a nice curve.

yep its tuned down into the 800-900 range, my dad cant drive the car very well down the track, it only has 6K mikes on the car and he bought it brand new. when he was running he was launching out of the groove and spinning through 1st and 2nd. the car made 840 something with the 383 on 10psi he now has a very stout 426 running 10 psi, he broke 1200 on 20psi, but he loves to drive it so its detuned so he can have fun in the car and not worry about breaking it all the time. but in perspective i made 546rwhp and im only expecting mid 130 traps. but like i said with a good driver hammering down the track the car could go low 10's i would think.

So detuned to 800-900 during Pinks?? I saw a couple passes in the mid 11 at 125 range :headscrat

He's got that for sale now, wish I could afford it. That car is exactly what I would build if I could start over and had the money.
