Does anyone on here know of anyone that does this on the side or professionally? Needing a basement quoted and finished in Carleton 48117....any references are appreciated. ..thanks MM..

Roughly what is the square footage for the area of work wanted? Any predetermined style (requirements) ? For looks, sound deadening, heat/air barrier retention?

Drop ceilings are not that hard to hang. Large handheld wire snips/metal shears, screw driver (drill makes it convenient) level, tape measure, pencil, & an assistant would be very useful.

Roughly 7 to 800sq/ft, no sound reduction or anything like that. Just the normal 2x2 tiles are what we want.

I just did mine, 360 sq ft ish with a lot of odd angles and nooks, and it was very easy. Only needed a second set of hands for a few things to help lift and hang.

Better yet spray it white. That's what I did and couldn't be happier. White made the basement seam taller and brighter. Only down side is you can see every little gap etc between joists but im still very happy with the outcome and only took a couple hours to tape everything off and spray it.

Pics?

Don't mind the mess. Have several projects going on and the basement needs to be cleaned up badly.

Sorry havent used photobucket in quite a while. Dont know why there are so small. Just click on the image and it will take you to photobucket so you can expand it to the original size.
