Sunpro Super Tach???

I'm looking to get a new tach for the car. I'm looking at all of the various 5" tachs and trying to find something I can afford on my tiny budget. I found these Sunpro 5" tachs. Anybody ever run one? How to they compare to Auto Meter or anything else? Will I be just throwing my money away buying a cheap tach?

i used to use a smaller sunpro and it worked fine for my DD... Autometer is a better product tho.

Autometer is a better product tho.

That's what I've always thought too, but with pinching pennies, I think I gotta do this cheap tach for now. That $70-80 difference pays for my harness and then some.

I have used both. The Sunpro is fine. If you were talking about brakes or engine components I would say buy the better stuff but the tach isn't that big of a deal. And if you are anything like me, I usually rely more heavily on the sound of the engine and a shift light anyway...

if your running an msd box just skip the tach and get a shift light. I only used a shift light ran off my msd in my 91 mustang and used the stock tach.

I've used it in two cars, I love it. Works the same as an Autometer, shift light is nice and bright, needle works smoothly. And the price is right.
