caused me to have an easy ass day at work , was only there for 1.5 hours and ended up going home to watch the game , on the way home thow I got stuck on my street and wasn't paying attention to my gauges and was more focused on trying to get un-stuck and make it home , wasn't beating on my truck at all but it ended up getting hot and in the red zone on the temp , instantly shut it down and let it cool off for a while , started it back up and noticed a knock , clean oil , oil is full , oh well ... going to drive it easily till it goes or till I come up with money to v8 swap it , wich leads me to my question lol

2002 blazer xtreme , whats the absolute easiest and cheapest way I can put a 5.3liter or 6.0 liter in it ? ive been doing my research and reading for a while and all say it basicly cant be done for under 2k unless the parts are given to you ..... all I need is a stock 5.3 or 6.0 and a 2wd 4l60e , my main concern is ive read you need the drive shaft shortened 2 inches , wire harness and computer tune after the swap is done

I wouldn't be against putting a 350+ carb engine in it as long as I can keep a 4l60e and all my stock gauges work , seems like it would be easier to swap than a LS

school me guys lol

Im sure one of the ls1 sites has a complete How-To specifically for your vehicle. I found one for a dodge dakota while peeking around for a co worker.

Once it's done, it will be AWESOME!!!

Shortening a driveshaft was $75 when Shaftmasters did mine.

I would definitely save up and spend wisely towards a fuel injected 5.3.

Detroit Gearbox converted my 4x4 trans into a 2wd trans also.

Downriver motorsport wiring can trim and finalize the wiring in case you arent 100% plug and play.

Pcmforless.com can tune out security stuff so the computer doesnt freak out being in a foreign vehicle.

I had to go rescue my daughter when she was leaving work at 4:30 drifting snow blocked her car so I had to shovel it out

Im at work, took about 45 minutes to dig out the drive way, realized all My neighbors are azzholes who snowblow all their snow into the street

Still digging. . Quick snowblower repair half way through (ain't that the way?) I started early too. At last the sun is shining!

I rode my mountain bike through 14" of powder last night while out running the dog. Somehow we made it through the snow emergency crisis!!

I simply fired up my F-150 4x4 and cruised in to work with nary a care.....Down here it's a "Level 3".....

That is it!!!!! I'm calling the police!!! "Level 3" means ONLY emergency vehicles are
legally allowed on the roads. Your Toledo Mayor almost died driving yesterday!

Now wheres that number for 911?

First time I didn't go to work because of snow. They just plowed my street 20 minutes ago, I measured it in front of my house at 17" deep. Snow blower's auger broke right away so I hand shoveled my driveway, walkway, and a path to the shed. Pretty damn sore.

250' of driveway plowed yesterday. 250' of driveway plowed AGAIN this morning. I got to work a little after 10. It was a waste. About 50% attendance.
