on my 62 caddy the front drum is stuck due to the outer bearing not wanting to come off the spindle. any tips and tricks to getting the bearing off? i tried hitting the drum from the backside with a 3 lb sledge onto a piece of wood not to damage the drum. its basically like any 90s 2wd pickup/van hubbed rotor setup. how do you get these off? i dont know why its frozen on there, has 0 miles since it was put on about 8 years ago with grease... tried pb blasting the crap out of it. even heating it up then beating on it. no help........... so please help.....

slide hammer bolted to the wheel studs with the proper hub adapter

or even a "hub puller" that uses a screw to push on the spindle, but this may damage the first thread, unless extreme caution is used

Take a socket that fits the inner race and beat the bearing into the center of the drum. IE hit it in towards the center of the car. that should break the rust loose and allow you to slide it off.
