strenght of a 01 4.6 2v???

I'm thinkin about adding some laughing gas to my car but I really don't kno how well the motor will handle a 75 shot. The motor has 45k on it. Any ideas? I heard mod 2v motors have weak connecting rods? Any help will help.
 
75 shot will be fine, just be sure to have your safety items in place for any missed gears etc.
 
Im not so sure I woudl worry about internal motor parts with only a 75 shot....thats pretty small......they do have weak pistons and rods im pretty sure, but not THAT weak.
 
What do you mean saftey parts? I wanna buy that kit that is for sale on here but I can't reply to I for some reason.
 
I used a 125 dry shot and ran it for 3 years never had a problem or blew it up. It was a stock non- pi with just over 100k on the odometer.
 
Maybe you should do some reading on Nitrous systems before you pick one up. If you are not aware of what devices are used to save your motor in case of something failing or a missed shift you shouldnt buy one. Just my .02

Why can't he learn about it here? He's a new guy and obviously has to learn somewhere. Help the guy out.
 
I'm not a nitrous expert my by any means but I would get these:

- Window switch (so it sprays only in the rpm range you set)
- WOT switch (so it only sprays at WOT)
- Bottle warmer & pressure guage
 
75 shot is fine, MXracercam on here ran a 125 shot for awhile and I dont think he ever had a problem, other than the car turning off while changing the tune on woodward.. lmao.. what sucks is when the car turned back on he still smoked me going under 696 on woodward.. good times though.
 
Yeah kinda a noob. But I want to buy that kit and then do some more research and when the kit is done install it. But that person I think his name is twister isn't responding hah. But yeah I just wanted to get the basics for now.

Hes looking at my kit. The Zex kit works off the TPS at WOT.
 
Make sure your kit has fail safe equipment....Sounds like this kit does, with the WOT switch......Get as knowlegable about it as you can....The more you know, the safer you will be......I can assure you that 75 shot wont last long.....thats the "gateway drug"....you will be hittin her with 125 before you know it :lol:
 
Also what jets should I get for a 50 shot? And if I run a eaton supercharger @ 3psi and a 50 shot do u think my motor will handle it?

Eaton at 3psi??......I wouldnt bother spending the money on a blower for 3 psi.....Honestly either run the blower only at 8-10psi and froget about the nitrous....OR run only spray 100 shot and forget the blower.
 
Yeah but I don't wana risk the blow up issue on a 100 shoot. Umm does any one kno the jet sizes I should run for the 75 shot?
