Strange starting issue 2000 GMC Jimmy

Some days when I go to start my truck I have to turn and hold the key at the start position for 5-10 seconds before the starter engages. Does not always do it only sometimes. What do you guys think. Ignition switch or starter?

Almost brand new fuel pump. I don't mean its turning over for 5-10 seconds. I mean you turn the ignition switch and NOTHING happens(NO solenoid click, Starter does not engage) for 5-10 seconds sometimes and then the starter engages turns the motor over and starts right up.
 
Oh, then check your grounds. Check at the starter, check at the battery, then check the power wire going from starter to battery. Make sure after you clean them that you tighten them down good and that there is no excessive play (should be secured down) . Some batteries had issues where the bolt would bottom out and the cable would still be loose, so a lead washer had to be put in or change battery....... Came down to cost, so washer it was.
