Glad you found it. Did he get a good deal on it? Lol. Who is that dumb to try and sell a stolen vehicle on Craigslist?
 
Did they tamper with the vin at all and try to use another title? Just trying to figure out how it was for sale without a title :dontknow:
 
That's great you found it for him.

One of my Friends F-350 was stolen a few month back. It was recovered a month later a chop shop bust. The truck had been completely detailed and a had a new title in the glove box. It looks like they were getting ready to sell it.

Michigan state police had been looking for this car thief for some time now. He cut a deal with them i'm told, not sure what it was.
Ignition was redone.
The craigslist ad, was about 2 sentences. Saying he had a SS to get rid of , don't wast his time. It was a obvious hot car deal.
Its getting checked at Wytltng' shop in Monroe. Thief was caught in Monroe.
I don't know enough about these newer GM anti theft systems, I figured someone had a dealer connection.

Thanks everyone im happy all worked out well and it was found. My buddy said a couple things need to be fixed on it which the insurance company should handle but the thieves were not smart at all he was told it was a three-man ring one steals one fixes and one sells. when the police went out there they still had the mothership license plate still on it and was trying to sell the truck as a bill of sale. these guys are not smart at all they did not change the VIN numbers or anything just repaired the damages they should go on the world's most dumbest thieves show. I still have the screenshot of the for sale ad lol
 
Never been in a rack.
the good thing is that the interior is intact. They only took ipod and other small items
