Stolen Dakota R/T

One of my brother in law's R/Ts was stolen Friday from his place in St. Claire Shores. We were all at my parent's for Thanksgiving this weekend, just got back and found out it's gone. They had left Friday around 1-2pm, the truck was parked in their gated driveway in front of his garage. He talked to his neighbor and it was gone Friday night.

It's a purple club cab Dakota R/T, lowered on gunmetal wheels, huge R/T in the back window(windows were tinted). The rollpan wasn't painted.

He's got the cops coming over right now.

Just north of the school east of little mack a couple streets.

I guess he had his nav system and stereo in there. It was a nice set-up he had in his blue R/T, but that truck has been a massive project and hadn't been on the road in a while.

From his insurance agent, it sounds like there was a rash of thefts this weekend.

I don't think it was, he just picked it up last year. I kind of figured he wouldn't be too upset about it, but that was before I realized he had swapped all the high end stereo stuff from his other truck to this one. That shit is as good as gone.


Pretty ballsy, someone that knows him, or someone that's been watching them....which is scary as hell. They left in the afternoon on Friday, and by the time their neighbor got back from work at 5pm it wasn't there. It was behind a closed gate about 100 feet from the road, and not a main road by any means.

I can guess either he was behind on the payments or didn't have insurance and it got repo'd. Not too many theives stupid enough to do their thing in the middle of the day in SCS.
