Hi Guys!
I've always been a little more of a lurker than a poster, but I've got something I need to get out there. And it's actually coming sorta' long after it happened, but we figured better late than never. :doh:
Last September one of my best buddies had his tow vehicle stolen right out of his driveway near 13 Mile & Lahser. It was a 1991 Chevrolet Suburban 2500, 454, 2wd in blue & silver. It had about 170k on the clock, but was in excellent condition as it was never driven during the winter. He bought it from the original owner only a month earlier who used it to pull his `69 drag Camaro back and forth to the track.This truck was set up just for this task and had a newer Harrison radiator and 140amp alternator.
There's a good chance that this truck is in a zillion pieces by now and long gone, but there's also a possibility it's still intact and being used by some unscrupulous douchebag. This was how it looked when it was stolen, so it could even be repainted to a different color. Who knows? But in case any of you have ever seen it, or have seen some shady characters in the racing circles with a freshly painted `91 Sub, we'd really appreciate a heads-up.
