IM not brand loayal by any means, but you are talking a 20-25K difference in price here. If the vette wasnt faster I would be pissed. I dont think anyone in ford named the new shelby the z06 killer!

I always knew a 10 was in those cars, I'm sure the DA in NJ was about -1600-2000

You won't see that in MI

the run was at Maryland International Raceway in Budds Creek, Maryland. no NJ, & Density Altitude at the time of the pass was negative 850 feet on my TAG weather station. Air temperature was 51 degrees. Barometer was excellent and humidity was low.

Yeah 427 cobra with stickies may give it a 1/4 run.

:dontknow:

Buick Gran Sport with a 455.. Popular Mechanics ran a 12.56 in a stock one on stock size street radials. :dontknow: Maybe with some sticky ass tires and a big launch it could hit 11.99, but not likely.

IIRC shelbys sticker @ 50k correct me if im wrong, and guys are paying 65kish last i heard so a few grand more for a z06 isnt that unreasonable

Last shelby i saw at tom holzer ford had a markup to what they call fair market value to 73,400. I call it pay that and your a sucker for buying it market value. 73k i would buy the z06. More bang for that high buck. But my pockets dont go that deep anyways.lol

exactly my point, this "it costs 25k more" isnt true, it may sticker that different, but try buying the shelby for sticker, but you can buy z06's and get gm employee usually:badass:

Shelby MSRP is $42K and change, while MSRP on a Z-06 starts at $70K. Either way the Vette is significantly more expensive.........and significantly more badass.

ok, so even more so, they sell for 30k more then sticker, its still a 70k car, no matter how you approach it, the day they start selling for 55ish then the advantage will begin to tip
