i feel depressed. i've been a redwing fan since i was like 11 or 10, and grew up watching steve play, when i played hockey all i wanted to be when i grew up was a player in the nhl like him, and now that he's retired, i feel like the wings are missing something. i give him nothing but respect, he went out with class, and put more heart and love into a team then anyother play in the nhl that i can think of. we'll miss ya steve.

I have actually not even been remotly interested in watching the wings this year. After hearing yzerman left..i had no ambition. Just like everyone has said..something just seems to be missing. Guy definitly deserves to retire..but damnit..now i dont even watch hockey!
