At thie past track rental it was fairly obvious which two cars were fastest (and I didn't even stick around till the end)
 
I think running the fastest 2 "cars" is a SWEET idea!!!! After all this is a car club, not a bike club!! The bikes are cool and all but that is when I run to the john to take a leak at the Milan shootouts. And I agree, the "no et" sucks for the spectator, but it's really no different than something like RSD where "no et" is common. The only flaw to all this logic is that you could get someone like Millen, Tyson, etc. who could come out to take home a quick 500 bones....although, that may not be a bad thing either!! Since the Milan shootouts only pay $1000, maybe some stupid fast cars would show up!!! And maybe those who don't really need the money, could just roll their winnings over to the last rental, take the gamble, and possibly win more!!:dontknow:

Good, im happy for them too. It is a good place for them to TEST their cars.

I won't show up to spectate for reasons including this one.

If I go it'll be to make a few 12 second passes and just have fun.

I'm not trying to give you guys a hard time, I think it's very nice that you can offer some cash prizes, my only point was that prizes should not be bestowed upon "No ET" cars as I think that goes against the grain of a community car club, as well passively endorses street racing.

Sorry for that hideously long run-on sentence.

Wait a minute.....I'm not trying to take anything away from the bikes......But if a car and a bike can't race against each other....It seems like a no brainer!! :dontknow:
 
Milan doesn't allow bikes and cars to run side by side I don't think... Especially going that fast... The bike rider would be dead if anything happen...
 
Oh yes they do,I have done it!!On Saturday's there is no longer a bike class,Bikes run with car's in no box!!!!
 
If the bikes can run cars then the bikes should be able to get the cash. No ET or not the two fastest vehicles that can race each other should race for the cash. I think the idea is the get the fast cars out, even the Millen type cars and the 180mph bikes.

As for NO ET, I think those should get a chance at cash as well. I don't care what anyone else thinks about it, not everyone builds a car to show off or to put on a show for spectators. I don't street race anymore, but I do run NO ET sometimes because I will race for money.

It won't matter if the BIG dogs come out, because those guys run sanctioned races and don't race NO ET, but last track rental the fastest cars ran NO ET.

Just my opinion.
 
I don't mind the NO ET cars going when they race someone.... It's kinda boring to have a NO ET car making solo passes.

Again, I doubt anyone races, tests or builds cars for your entertainment.

Perhaps sometimes it's not a spectator hobby?

No one said it is.

Just voicing my opinion is all. Only in regards to the cash bonus, not in general. I dig watching any fast cars go down the track, NO ET or otherwise.

Just would like to see two of the fastest cars line up for the $500... Which should be enough for even the two fastest NO ET cars to risk letting the other guy see his timeslip since it is basically free money.

The speed of sound is coming next :)

They've never let us run the cars and bikes together at MM rentals in past when we asked last year. So I just assumed it was for insurance reasons and that they didn't ever run them together. :dontknow:
