stang rearend length

P-Town's hired gun
looking for a rearend to bolt into my s10...just wondering if a stang 8.8 would be the same length? thanks 54 1/2"

Remember, ford uses an offcentered pinion. It would not work, even if it was the right length.

Just get a 99+ extreme rear end from a v6 stick truck. It goes right in

if you do a search I belive there's a whole website about putting an 8.8 in an S10 (or at least a how to) I think it was almost a bolt it too

I think the 8.8 they used was from a 91-01 Explorer

A mustang 8.8 doesn't use a offcentered pinion. The ranger ones do though.

rear from a 99+ S10 ZR2 , its a 8.5" 10 bolt, disk brakes, and will bolt in

actually thats only partiall true, the width on the zr2 is wrong, its way too wide, there are 3 different width s-10 rear ends, 2wd, 4wd, and zr2.

The only "bolt in" rear end for a 2wd s-10 is the 99+ extreme rear ends from a v6 stick truck. these were the 8.5, w/ disks, and the correct width
