That was my 3rd time at the track.. race in detroit all summer where everyone leaves before the flagger gets his arms up then go to a tree, Huge difference lol.

To my knowledge, a chase is a race. Happened to me before.
 
I gotta be honest, I seriously under estimated your car. But even when you watch our race you can see how the leave is huge. I never thought it was that big of a deal, but I'm gonna ask for the leave all the time next year!!

I didn't underestimate yours at all. Most people never thought the ls1 would run so good all motor but of course the leave between two similar cars is huge.
 
Redlight = loss. Dan was quicker, faster, and didn't go red. Regardless, awesome cars though for sure!

This is very true. I did the same thing to PFM. Gotta steal something racing Dan. That car motors for sure.

Even with trunks phenomenal shifting abilities, you can see how much having the leave help in a race.

Hell yeah I did. First off that car is BAD ASS for a street car and Dan was driving.

it wasnt fair then. You had slicks!! :roll: Dans clutch must notta been "broken" in :lol:

I swapped out the slicks for 27" QTP's.

The Livernois car would DESTROY my car if it were set up the same way. It's a street car without the drag suspension. It trapped at 140-141 that day. I think Rick told me it went 145 the day before. :eek:

Oh and the clutch might not have been broke in. Maybe he should drive it to car show like Larry! :roll:
 
haha, but its not funny. My clutch has to come back out. If I would have raced it first there wouldn't be anything left of it

I have no doubts the Livernois car woulda stomped some ass set up correctly. I was just throwing in some excuses to get a chuckle :lol:
 
You can start to feel it engage about half pedal but then the rest of the way it doesn't do a thing until the last 1/8-1/4 inch of travel. then its all or nothing.
They want me to to put the top disk next to the flywheel and remeasure the clearance. Then if its not right I will have to reshim it. I measured the clearnce when we put it in . It was within their spec of .020-.025
