St. Ignace Reservations

Probably unlike most of you, I dont have a credit card. You give a 18 year old a credit card with a $10,000 limit when they still live at home and have no job, by the time they are 27, there is so much credit card debt its very overwhelming. So, when I made my reservation, I had to mail in my payment. No big deal, I dont mind. When the guy read off the address to send it to, I got a little curious.

State of Michigan

Why in the world would we be sending money to the State of Michigan in Maryland? I dont think I like the fact that my money is going there...... When I asked him about it, he said thats where the main headquarters is. I could see if I was sending it to like KOA Campgrounds or something, but its a STATE PARK! Guess thats one way to cut down on michigan jobs eh? Anyone know why they would do something like that??
 
Might just be a company that does the reservations that the state contracts out to. Thats what I would think.

could have just gave me the money since I'm going to cancel my reservation. No chance I will be going now

Well, figure out who will want it because I'll probably cancel it next week.

Won't be getting off work that week. Vacation time MUST be used when the plants are on shutdown. The St Ignace thing is the week before they go on shutdown. Next year I'll have 2 weeks of vacation and the second week will be allowed to be used at any time, but one week HAS to be used during shutdown.
 
Nothin like being told when to take your vacation time. LOL That sucks though. Sorry you got screwed.

So you get the week of July 4th off then I take it. What is your last day of work, Friday June 29 or Sunday July 1? I forgot how your work schedule goes. If you have to work up untill Sunday then it makes sense why you couldn't go.


And I think Steve & Andrea would probably take your spot if they don't have one already.

Yea. I would work through Sat. I get my choice of either the week of the 4th, or the week after that. Probably gonna do the week after the 4th. Take Katy to chicago for the week or something like that.
